This is my seventh year teaching Mathematics at Roosevelt High School (my alma matter).  I am currently teaching Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2.  After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelorʼs degree in Pure and Computational Mathematics and a minor in Education, I returned to Los Angeles where I continued my education at UCLA where I received my teaching credential. Currently, I am part of two STEM related programs.  One of them is the Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement (MESA) program in which I have been the co-advisor of for three years, and the other is the IMPACT LA program which I just began this year.

I have been teaching at Hollenbeck Middle School  for 14 years. My background is in Biology and have taught   seventh and eighth grade science as well as Robotics. I have served as both the Science Department and Electives Department Chair. I received my Bachelors in Science degree from the University of California, Riverside and my Master's in Education from National University. I truly enjoy doing hands-on lessons  with my students so one of my aspirations in this profession is to become a Science Coach in which I could provide opportunities for many of the students to experience real laboratory science.
